Israeli occupation forces reopen crossing after 6 day's shutting
Rafah - BNA

Israeli occupation authorities have reopened the Karem Abu Salem commercial crossing in southeast Rafah city in farthest southern part of Gaza Strip after six day's continuous shutting.

The head of coordination committee in charge of entry of goods into the Gaza Strip, Raed Fattouh, told the Palestinian News Agency that the occupation authorities have reopened the crossing today, and it is expected to allow one flower consignment for export to European countries. However, regarding imports, it is decided to allow 340 trucks laden with goods for the commercial and agrarian sector and relief assistance, including 20 trucks laden with gravel for the private commercial sector and quantities of cement, construction steel and gravel for international projects and pumping of limited quantities of cooking gas.

The Israeli occupation had reopened the commercial crossing on the day before yesterday exceptionally allowing the entry of 132 trucks laden with goods for the commercial and agrarian sector and relief aid and also allowed the pumping of limited quantities of cooking gas.

The Karem Abu Salem crossing is the sole leeway for Gaza imports which is currently open for entry of goods, assistance and fuel imports into the besieged Gaza Strip. (IY)
