Japanese Defence Minister Tomomi Inada has announced her resignation. Broadcaster NHK said that Inada would tender her resignation on Friday to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The minister is at the centre of a controversy over a suspected cover-up of information related to a U.N. peacekeeping mission in South Sudan
