An agreement was signed Thursday by King Salman Center for Humanitarian Aid and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to provide aid to the Yemeni refugees.

Abdullah Al-Rabeea, Consultant at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Center signed the deal from one side while Ashok Nigam, UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Resident Representative, in Saudi Arabia signed from the UNDP's side.

The program is part of a $274-million donation given by King Salman upon a call from the United Nations in April.

Under the deal, the relief would be provided to the displaced and refugees in Sanaa, Abyan, Taiz, Hajjah and Adden.

During the signing ceremony, Al-Rabeea urged swift implementation of the agreement to guarantee the delivery of aid to the people in need.

The center has a plan to send volunteering physicians to run Yemeni hospitals which would provide health services for the Yemeni people at 50 sites, the Saudi official said.
