Forty two ministers and members of The law committee of the Israeli parliament, Knesset, Tuesday signed a petition, demanding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resolve the housing crisis in Israel by expanding settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT), including Jerusalem. The Petition said that “due to the housing crisis in the country we demand the Israeli government to start building in the West Bank and Jerusalem to resolve the problem.” Thousands of Israelis set up tents in all cities, protesting the housing crisis and the high cost of living. Later on, these protests turned into a social revolution that demanded Netanyahu to quit. Right wing activists tried to convince protesters to move to the Occupied Territory because housing prices are cheaper there, however, they failed.
