United Nations Envoy to Libya Martin Kobler has for first time insinuated to major changes to the Libyan political agreement that was inked in the Moroccan city of Skhirat in 2015.
In statements to reporters following a meeting with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita in Rabat, Kobler said the talks tackled the latest political and security developments in Libya.
Kobler stressed concerns about the military escalations in Libya, noting that the military option cannot end the Libyan crisis, it, however, hampers the political process.
He underlined that the Skhirat agreement is the "basis and framework of the political process in Libya."
