Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said on Saturday that the United States must take responsibility for all Israeli crimes. “Israeli regime commits any crimes with the help of US arsenals, equipment and logistics against Palestinians, so, Washington must is take responsibility for what happens there,' he added. Participating in the 5th International Conference on the Palestinian Intifada in Tehran, he said that it is the legitimate right of the Palestinians to restore ownership of the occupied territories. 'US financial support to Tel Aviv regime exceeds 20 billion dollars while Israel is not ready to go ahead with peace talks with Palestinians and is in fact making procrastination,' Berri added. Criticizing construction of the Jewish settlements in the occupied land, he said that the settlements caused a stumbling block to create any peace and a real mean for displacement of the real owners of Palestinian territories. Lebanese parliament speaker elsewhere supported the reforms in Syria while harshly criticized certain Arab states for supporting the western embargo on Syria instead of moving forward to get united to impose sanctions against Israel. Berri congratulated Iran for acquiring advanced technology and for inaugurating the Busher power plant and reiterated that it is Iran’s genuine right to use peaceful nuclear technology.
