Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak will attend the 8th Malaysia-Indonesia Annual Leaders' Consultation on Thursday, hosted by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. In addition to their consultations on bilateral as well as regional and international issues, the two leaders will also witness the signing of the Protocol Amending the 1991 Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income, according to Malaysian (Bernama) News Agency. The Protocol is aimed at further strengthening financial and economic cooperation between the two countries.The annual consultations are convened alternately between the two countries. Malaysia hosted the 7th Annual Leaders Consultation in Putrajaya on May 18 last year.
