New Zealand Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

The international soldier killed in a Taliban attack on the British Council office in Kabul was a member of the New Zealand special forces troop in the Afghan capital, officials informed. A statement from the New Zealand Defence Force said, ‘The trooper was responding to an attack by insurgents on the British Council offices in Kabul with elements of the Afghan Crisis Response Unit when he was shot in the chest by an insurgent.’ He died en route to a hospital, according to a report of the German Press Agency.
