There is no understanding on the visit of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to Russia now, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.
"There is no particular information on the date and the timing," Peskov said, commenting on the preparations for the North Korean leader’s visit.
The visit is on the agenda and is being worked out through diplomatic channels, he noted.
Russian Federation Council (upper house) Speaker Valentina Matviyenko said after her official visit to Pyongyang in September that Kim Jong-un had expressed readiness to visit Russia soon. Earlier this month, Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov confirmed that the possibility of the meeting between the Russian and North Korean leaders until the end of the year was being discussed.
