Saeb Erekat, the secretary of the Palestine Liberation Organization, has praised a French initiative to revive peace talks between the Palestinians and Israelis, WAFA news agency reported Friday.
The initiative offers a "glimmer of hope" and should be rendered a success, said Erekat.
The initiative should determine a clear framework and timetable for establishing a Palestinian state, he said.
The initiative should create a suitable environment for the Palestinians and Israelis to negotiate, he added.
