Palestinians are stepping up their non-violent campaign against Israel by boycotting all Israeli products, not just settlement goods, a Fatah official said. Sabri Saydam, an adviser to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, said social networks are being used to carry out the boycott, Ynetnews.com reported Tuesday. "This non-violence popular struggle will manifest itself in various forms which will illustrate the Palestinian people's suffering without giving Israel excuses to export its internal crisis, Saydam said. In addition, he said Palestinians would promote an academic boycott. "We will increase pressure on Israeli academic institutions by demanding that universities worldwide, and especially in countries that support us, sever academic ties with Israeli institutions," Saydam said.
