Prime Minister Marouf Bakhit on Thursday received Saudi Finance Minister Ibrahim Assaf and discussed means to promote bilateral ties, especially in economic fields. Bakhit voiced appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s support to the Kingdom to overcome economic challenges, highlighting the Saudi role in supporting Jordan’s accession to the six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). He also thanked Saudi Arabia for providing economic aid, including the 400-million-dollar grant that Jordan received last month. The Saudi official stressed his country’s keenness to enhance ties with Jordan at various levels to serve both countries’ interests. The meeting was attended by Minister of Finance Muhammad Abu Hammour.
