Political parties in Egypt are pleased with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's speech during the Arab-Islamic-American summit, which was held in Riyadh Sunday.
Sisi's words were "strong, effective and clear," the parties said Monday.
The president underlined the need to face those who fund terrorism as a first step, the parties added.
Assem Geneidi, the assistant secretary general of the Conservative Party, said that drug dealing has become a main source of money for terrorists and takfiris.
The Arab world is suffering from disorders that threaten its stability, and organized gangs are manipulating the poverty in some areas to promote drugs, Geneidi said.
He also touched upon tensions on the borders of some countries after the unprecedented changes that hit the Arab region in the wake of the Arab Spring.
This state of lawlessness, Geneidi added, has played into the hands of those gangs, who now fund terrorist organizations.
Geneidi urged the Egyptian government to call for a meeting of Arab interior ministers to coordinate information exchange to dry up sources of drugs.
