A round of official talks commenced at the Emiri Diwan here on Tuesday between the State of Qatar under HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani and the Republic of Nepal under President Dr. Ram Baran Yadov who arrived in Doha earlier Monday on a four-day state visit to Qatar. The talks were attended by HE the Deputy Premier and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah and a number of Their Excellencies the ministers. While attending the talks on the Nepalese side were their excellencies the members of the official delegation accompanying the Nepalese president. Over their talks, the two sides reviewed ties of joint cooperation and means of enhancing and promoting them in all fields .A set of other regional and international issues of mutual concern were also taken up. Following the talks, HH the Emir and the Nepalese president witnessed the signing ceremoy of a legal cooperation agreement and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for touristic cooperation between the goverments of the State of Qatar and Nepal . Then HH the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the President of the Republic of Nepal and the accompanying delegation. The Nepalese President has earlier arrived at the Emiri Diwan prior to the outset of the official talks and was accorded a red-carpet reception ceremony
