Russia is ready to restore relations with all EU member-states, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Tuesday. "Our relations with the European Union are probably at a rather difficult point, but we are of course ready to restore the momentum of relations with all states," Medvedev said at a meeting with Italy's President Sergio Mattarella. Matarilla's visit to the Russian capital comes upon the invitation of President Vladimir Putin.
On June 17, Russia and Italy signed on the sidelines of Petersburg International Economic Forum contracts worth $1.3 billion. Relations between Russia and the European Union and the United States, deteriorated amid the crisis in Ukraine.
