The New Sierra Leonean ambassador to Tehran conferred on Saturday with Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi on expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries. According to the Information and Press Bureau of the ministry of foreign affairs, in the meeting, the Iranian foreign minister expressed happiness with presence of the new Sierra Leonean ambassador to Iran and said the Islamic Republic of Iran spares no efforts to broaden all-out cooperation with Sierra Leone. The new ambassador submitted a copy of his credentials to Salehi and conveyed the warm greetings of his country’s foreign minister to him. He also underlined the significant role of the Islamic Republic in regional developments. Lauding Iran’s high capabilities in various scientific and industrial fields, he voiced his country’s willingness to make use of Iran’s experiences mainly in industry and agriculture sectors. The Sierra Leonean foreign minister is to pay an official visit to Iran, he said and once again extended his (the Sierra Leone’s foreign minister) invitation to Salehi to visit the country. Salehi hoped to visit the country at an appropriate time and that the two sides would witness expansion of relations. The two sides also explored grounds for expansion of relations and cooperation.
