Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said in a meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart on Tuesday that the Asian Cooperation Dialogue is a means to uphold economic cooperation among Asian nations. “The dialogues can boost Asian countries cooperation,“ he said in the meeting with Muhammad Sabah as-Salem as-Sabah on the sidelines of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue in Kuwait. Pointing to longstanding relations and neighborhood between Iran and Kuwait, Salehi said that both the Iranian and Kuwaiti governments are required to pave the way for mutual understanding and expansion of ties to provide their nations with welfare. He called for holding Iran-Kuwait joint economic commission to strenghen the two countries relations in different fields. As-Sabah who is also Kuwaiti deputy premier, called for preparing the ground for cooperation and expansion of ties in different mutual and regional fields. He appreciated Iran's leadership during presidency of Asian Cooperation Dialogue and expressed hope that Kuwait would lead the forum in the right track.
