Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, Wednesday expected the United Nations Security Council to meet in November to discuss the Palestinian application for statehood membership and have a final response for it. Mansour, speaking to Voice of Palestine radio, said the Security Council will hold an ambassadors meeting on November 3, after the meeting of committee of experts who studied the Palestinian request to make sure it meets UN membership criteria. Palestine asked the Non-Aligned Movement to hold a meeting in the Security Council soon to discuss the US stalling on the Palestinian application and to call for a final answer on the matter, said Mansour.
