President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is to sign the African Union Convention on Preventing and Combating Corruption on the sidelines of his participation in the two-day African Summit to open Monday.

Egyptian Ambassador to Ethiopia Abu Bajr Hanafi said on Sunday Egypt attaches great importance to fighting corruption that affects economic and social development in Africa.

He added that Egypt had signed United Nations Convention against Corruption.
