Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid on Thursday said that discussions are still going on between Arab states on a UN Security Council resolution demanding end to the Israeli settlement activities.
Speaking to Sky News TV, Abu Zeid said the pan-Arab anti-Israel committee is still discussing the resolution proposed by the Council member Egypt to end settlement building.
According to the spokesman, the committee convened on Monday to discuss the resolution, but it decided to re-evaluate stances later.
The Arab countries would take the proper decision in light of the opportunities to get a positive vote in favor of the resolution, he noted.
The draft text was put forward by Egypt and the 15-member Council was due to vote on it Thursday.
