Thuraya Telecommunications Company is showcasing its space-based communication equipment as well as taking part in a panel discussion at Dubai Airshow.
For this year’s event, Thuraya and smp aviation are highlighting their recently released airborne satellite communication platform, Thuraya Aero.
Thuraya Aero is an in-flight communication system that enables broadband internet access, voice calls, text messaging, and high-speed data applications like video conferencing and aerial surveillance on board small- to medium sized planes, as well as fixed- and rotary wing aircrafts. The service is developed by Thuraya in collaboration with the Aero Group, an international consortium of well-known aerospace solution suppliers.
Muhsen AlKait, Market Development at Thuraya, said, "Dubai Airshow always delivers an energetic and impactful congress. With Thuraya Aero’s launch, we have become a dependable player in the aerospace sector and this expo is the ideal place to showcase how our service adds new power to airborne communication for a variety of applications. Aero was developed on the expertise of many well-known global partners and brings unique capabilities to the market. We look forward to meeting with aviation industry leaders and discussing how our offerings best serve their satellite communication needs."
Manfred Scheiring, Chief Executive Officer from smp, said, "Dubai Airshow will favorably position us to engage with new customers to deliver our competitive solution to the aviation sector. We are excited about our service and confident in its unique capabilities. The Middle East and Africa are growing markets for the targeted segments of users and Dubai is on the doorstep to Asia, one of the most important and largest aviation markets in years to come."
