Head of the Jordanian Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Samih Bino conferred here on Monday with founder of the Transparency International (TI) Peter Eigen and World Bank Consultant John Saba, who are now visiting Jordan. According to a press release issued by the ACC here today, the two sides discussed the ACC’s procedures to enhance its role in fighting and preventing corruption. For his part, Bino stressed the importance of activating the role of civil society institutions in the anti-corruption process, adding that the fight against corruption is a responsibility of all state departments, the private sector as well as civil society institutions. Transparency International is a global civil society organization leading the fight against corruption.(
