Turkey expects the elements of PYD, the Syrian associate of the outlawed PKK group, to withdraw to the east bank of the Euphrates in northern Syria, Turkey's defense minister said Friday according to Anadolu Agency.
"We expect the coalition forces, especially the US., to keep the promises given to Turkey in this regard," Fikri Isik said, adding that Turkey's priority is the city of Manbij. "This is the commitment of the United States to Turkey. We expect this commitment to be fulfilled as soon as possible," he said.
Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said yesterday that Turkish troops will bomb PYD posts if the group doesn't withdraw from Manbij.
