Two people were killed when security forces opened fire in the air to disperse a crowd which tried to prevent the authorities from removing illegal construction on public properties in East of Tyre in Lebanon. According to security sources, the two men were identified as Wissam al Tawil (Palestinian) and Ali Nasser El Din (Lebanese). The incident occurred when residents of the low cost housing project in East of Tyre intercepted a patrol of the Security forces which has orders to crack down on the construction of illegal properties over public properties, the National News Agency (NNA) reported. Following the shootout, the citizens burned down an internal forces security vehicle and blocked the road with tires.
