The UAE and the Republic of Mali have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU, on security cooperation and counter-terrorism.
In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, President of Mali, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, and Salif Traore, Malian Minister of Security and Civil Protection, signed the MoU.
The MoU aims at enhancing joint cooperation and coordination between the UAE Ministry of the Interior and the Malian Ministry of Security and Civil Protection, with regard to combating different types of crimes, exchange of information and best police practices.
Present on the occasion were Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, and the delegation accompanying the President of Mali.
