UNIDO: Egypt endeavors to solve development obstacles

Representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Giovanna Ceglie asserted on Sunday that Egypt is endeavoring to remove the obstacles that hinder the development in various fields through developing strategies, including Egypt 2030 Strategy for Sustainable Development.

Delivering a speech before a conference on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), Ceglie said that there are attempts to reduce unemployment rates, stressing that the UNIDO supports the Egyptian government to increase inclusive growth rates and partnership with non-governmental organization via "UNIDO" Initiative.

Also,Ceglie added the UNIDO stands by the Egyptian government to harness all efforts to qualify youth and provide more job opportunities for them.

She unveiled measures are being taken by the Egyptian government to improve the business climate to support economy and young men, saying the UNIDO focuses on bringing about the sustainable development and making good use of available resources in cooperation with the private sector, including the solar energy. 

Also, she noticed that the UNIDO pays more attention to a number of development projects to serve the society.

There are endeavors to improve quality and efficiency of industry and back manufacturing industries as well as bolstering small and medium-sized enterprises to raise productivity and growth rates, she underlined.
