General-Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong concluded his official visit to China on Saturday and left for home. During Trong's visit, General-Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese President Hu Jintao held talks with him, and both agreed to advance bilateral strategic and cooperative partnership in a stable and healthy way. Other Chinese leaders including top legislator Wu Bangguo, Premier Wen Jiabao, top political advisor Jia Qinglin, Vice President Xi Jinping and Vice Premier Li Keqiang also met with Trong or accompanied him on his tour. Besides Beijing, Trong also visited south China's Guangdong Province from Thursday to Saturday. He toured the cities of Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen, called upon local community and China's telecom giants Huawei Technologies Co. and Zhongxing Telecom Co. Ltd. He also visited an exhibition of Shenzhen's reform and opening-up history. Invited by President Hu, Trong started his five-day trip on Tuesday. It is his first China visit since being elected general secretary of the CPV Central Committee in January this year.
