A powerful bomb blast rocked Trinkot city, capital of Afghanistan's Uruzgan Province, some 370 km south of Kabul on Sunday, killing one person and injuring 15 others, who were all civilians, deputy to provincial police chief Mohammad Aslam Kuchi said. "The terrorists planted an explosive device in Minar Chauk area bazaar and detonated it at 04:10 p.m. local time today, killing one civilian on the spot and injuring 15 others, including three children," Kuchi told Xinhua. This is the second violent attack in the southern region of Afghanistan in a single day, where the Taliban militants are active. In the previous attack, which was a suicide attack, two people, including the attacker, were killed and four civilians injured in the neighboring Zabul Province.
