At least eight people including two children were killed Friday when their van struck a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan. Five women, one man and two children were in a van when it struck the roadside bomb this morning in Qalat city.
One more person was injured. This brings up the total number of people killed to 15 in four days.
On Tuesday, seven people were killed on the outskirts of the same city.
Officials said that the seven were kidnapped allegedly by Taliban militants, before they were killed.
