France Friday confirmed the arrest of two French men inYemen earlier in the day on suspicion of being part of a terrorist organisation.The two French men were apparently arrested while trying to board a plane to leave Yemen, which has witnessed an upsurge in terrorist violence in thepast weeks.“France is cooperating closely with Yemeni authorities in the fight against terroristorganisations active on their territory,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Romain Nadalsaid in a statement.The two Frenchmen detained are believed to have joined the Al-Qaeda organisation in Yemen.“The recruitment of foreign nationals is, in this matter, a major concern which ispart of cooperation between specialised (intelligence) services,” Nadal added.
