Sanaa - Arab Today

Five people were killed and 16 others injured after Houthi militants and forces loyal to former president Ali Saleh have pounded residential buildings in Taiz city, a medical source said on Friday.

Several women and children were among those wounded by the shelling, he added.

Eleven Houthi militants were slain and scores injured in the Saudi-led coalition airstrikes and clashes with the Yemeni Popular Resistance Committees (PRC) in the city, the media office of the military council in Taiz said.

Also, five members of the PRC were injured in these clashes.
