6 killed, wounded in car explosion in southern Yemen

A Yemeni soldier was killed and five others were wounded in a car bomb explosion, driven by a suicide bomber, Yemeni sources were quoted by Sky News Arabia channel Sunday.
Yemeni security forces broke into one of the major al-Qaeda hideouts in Al Mahfad district in the Abyan governorate in southern Yemen, as a booby-trapped car exploded, the sources added.
The security forces controlled a road linking Abyan and Shabwa, and said it would also deploy troops on the Al Mahfad-Shabwa road.
