The security services have killed an al-Qaeda leader in a raid carried out in Sana'a, well-informed sources said on Sunday. The killed was "Saleh al-Tais", also called "Abu Yaser", who was involved in some murder operations targeting foreigners, diplomats and also Yemenis, including Dr. Ahmed Sharaf al-Din, a member of National Dialogue Conference (NDC), the sources told the Defense Ministry's website. Sharaf al-Din was gunned down by unknown assailants on January 21, while he was driving to attend the NDC's final session. The raid also resulted in destroying four vehicles were equipped to commit suicide attacks, the sources added.
