Houthis
Sanaa - MENA

Forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh as well as Houthis continued on Thursday bombing the outposts of the Yemeni army and resistance in Taiz in a continued violation of the truce announced on April 10, the Military Council of Taiz said.

The council said six army and resistance men were wounded in the random bombing of residential areas in Taiz by Houthis and pro-Saleh forces.

The city lies on one of the fault lines of the conflict that has raged since March last year between the Houthis and the Yemeni government backed by a Saudi Arabia-led Arab coalition.

Meanwhile, security forces in Marib arrested a terrorist cell with explosives in their possession.

The cell comprising female elements was planning to target senior officials in Yemen.

Two other terrorist cells were arrested in Maarib last week.
