London - Arabstoday

After impressing during a temporary spell last term, the young defender has returned to White Hart Lane and signed a new deal, leaving his chances of a similar move slim Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has confessed that the club have little chance of reaching an agreement with Tottenham to bring defender Steven Caulker back on loan next season. The 20-year-old recently penned a new four-year deal at White Hart Lane after impressing at theLiberty Stadium last season. But Jenkins believes that with both clubs having changed their managers in recent months, any potential new approach could see a repeat move scuppered.  "At this point I would say it's a bit of a long shot," Jenkins told reporters. "With the changes at Tottenham and the changes we've had here ourselves, things move on. "If things change at Tottenham we'll have a look at that, but I'm sure the new manager is going tocome in and probably look at all their players. "Steven had a big impact with us last year and in particular in the Premier League." Caulker became an integral part of the Swans back four last campaign, going on to make 26 league appearances in the process, but new Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is believed to want to field a young side on his return to top flight management at White Hart Lane.
