The Lebanese Red Cross transferred 120 wounded Syrians to hospitals in Lebanon in the past five days, announced LRC director of operations George Kettaneh on Tuesday. "Since last Friday, 120 Syrians suffering from injuries due to the fighting in Al-Qusair region have been evacuated and transferred to hospitals in Lebanon," Kettaneh said in a statement to KUNA. The wounded Syrians were transferred without encountering any problems, he noted, adding that the number of injured Syrians to be brought in from the neighboring country may increase in the coming days. Caretaker Health Minister Ali Hassan Khalil has called on the Lebanese Government to seek aid of other countries to help host and hospitalize wounded Syrians, due to Lebanon's limited capacity to treat them. Since outbreak of the Syrian Crisis in March, 2011, more than 3,600 injured Syrians have been transferred to the Lebanese hospitals.
