2047 Syrian refugees cross into Jordan in 24 hours

A total of 2047 Syrian refugees, mainly, children, women and elderly people crossed into the Kingdom yesterday, according to an official source from the Jordan Armed Forces.The source said that border guard units operating along the Jordanian-Syrian borders received the refugees and evacuated them to an area prepared by the armed forces for this purpose.The armed forces provided aid to the displaced Syrians in preparation to transfer them to the Zaatari refugee camp in Mafraq” the source added.
