As many as 224 Egyptians have returned home from Libya via Salloum crossing over the past 24 hours, Marsa Matrouh security chief Hisham Nasr said on Thursday.
Out of all the returnees, 79 Egyptians had illegally traveled to Libya, he added.
Meanwhile, travel procedures for 1099 persons, including 229 Egyptians and 870 Libyans, have been finalized, Nasr noted.
As many as 220 trucks laden with goods, food supplies and construction materials left for Libya, Nasr added.
