Militia abducted three Libyan Interior Ministry officers in Tripoli, Libyan General National Congress (GNC) sources said Thursday. Over the past two days, militias launched operations to kidnap police personnel in Tripoli for unknown reasons, the sources said. Meanwhile, an attempt to storm the Libyan cabinet HQ was thwarted on Thursday, cabinet sources told the Libyan media. Fifty gunmen attempted on Thursday to break into the cabinet building, but the cabinet guards managed to foil the attack and arrest a number of the assailants, the sources said. The sources said no human casualties were reported while fending off the attack
