King Abdullah II of Jordan on Sunday warned against the consequences of the prolonged crisis in Syria. After meeting with visiting French President Francois Hollande, the king said Jordan and France are working hard to realize a political solution to the Syrian crisis. Jordan is hosting more than half a million Syrian refugees, which the king said places great pressure on the kingdom. Hollande, for his part, said the Syrian opposition needs help and support, but it needs to clarify the connections between the Syrian opposition and radical groups. The French official also called for more aid to Jordan in order to deal with the influx of Syrian refugees.
