Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

The Al Bayt Mitwahid Association and the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge, ADEK, have launched the "My Morals, My ID" Competition, which targets students in Grades 2 to 5 with the objective of enhancing the spirit of belonging, national identity, while emphasising the importance of moral education.

Speaking about the initiative, Saif Ali Al Qubaisi, the Chairman of Al Bayt Mitwahid Association, said, "We’ve launched #MyMorals_MyID as it reflects the strategic plan of Al Bayt Mitwahid, where we aim to enhance the spirit of national pride, values and high morals of students throughout the nation. We extend our appreciation to the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge for their cooperation with us in this educational and inspirational competition."

Hamad Al Dhaheri, ADEK’s Private Schools and Quality Assurance sectors Executive Director, said, "Moral education plays a pivotal role in schools and is part of school curriculums. The competition is timely and important and helps students further explore the nation’s heritage and culture in an engaging and enjoyable manner. Projects like this re-enforce youth with pivotal traits such as tolerance, respect and community participation."

The competition was also developed to further enhance the contribution of schools and society at large in supporting the development of creativity among students, while offering them the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents.

Students are encouraged to develop their graphic designs and/or drawings in Arabic or English in a team of two to five individuals. The artwork should be based on three core values: national appreciation, solidarity or forgiveness.
