AL chief shows support for Kuwaiti mediation
Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit on Tuesday renewed his support for Kuwaiti mediation efforts between Arab countries fighting terrorism and Qatar.
At a meeting here on Tuesday with Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano, Abul Gheit expressed readiness to undertake a role on this score.
The meeting took up several issues of common concern including means of enhancing cooperation between the Arab League and Italy, said Mahmoud Afifi the spokesman for the AL chief.
The two sides discussed the recent developments in the Middle East with emphasis on regional crises; especially the situation in Libya, added the spokesman.
