Tunisian Interior Minister Lotfi Ben Jeddou has said they did not need foreign support for the operations against Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM). Ben Jeddou told a press conference in Tunis that two terrorists of AQIM were captured at the highlands at Algeria border. Saying that the security forces had sieged the highlands for the last two days, Jeddou said those two terrorists who could not escape to the mountains were seized. Tunisian army announced earlier that they started an operation at Algeria border to capture 35 people linked to acts of terror. Armed groups reportedly belonged to AQIM have been active at Tunisia-Algeria borderline.
