Aoun delivers Independence Day speech at 8.00 pm this evening

President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, is scheduled to give a televised speech on the eve of Lebanon's 74th Independence Day to touch on most recent developments in the country.

The speech will be broadcasted at 8.00 pm this evening.

On the eve of Independence Day, Aoun met at the Baabda palace with Army Commander General Joseph Aoun and members of the military council.

Major General Aoun handed the President the new military uniform to be worn by the military men in their parade tomorrow for the first time.

It is to note that the new military uniform is characterized by light colors, in harmony with the colors of earth and Lebanese nature.

On the other hand, Baadba presidential palace witnessed a series of ministerial, diplomatic, political and spiritual meetings. In this framework, Aoun met with Tourism Minister, Avedis Guidanian, with talks reportedly touching the touristic movement in the country and the Ministry's preparations for winter tourism.

Aoun met with Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Massimo Marotti, in the presence of Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Gebran Bassil.

Talks touched on the official program of the President's visit to Italy from November 29 till December 1.

Most recent developments and bilateral ties also topped their discussions
