President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, held, at Baabda palace on Wednesday, a series of meetings to follow up on the preparations for the discussion and endorsement of the 2017 state budget bill and the financial and tax laws.
Within this frame, Aoun met with State Minister for Parliament's Affairs, Ali Qanso, who highlighted the importance of the current entente in the country in resuming the state building project.
Qanso also heaped praise on the role played by the President pertaining to the wage scale.
Separately, Aoun welcomed Mexican Ambassador to Lebanon, Jaime Garcia Amaral, who came on a farewell visit upon the end of his diplomatic mission in Beirut
