Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa extended heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa on the Development Work Shield granted to him by the Arab League in recognition of his distinguished contribution and pioneering efforts in sustainable development at all levels.
The Bahraini ambassador said the honour to be conferred on HRH the Premier on April 19 is a tribute for his march rich in quantum national, regional and international achievements. He added the honour is the first of its kind at the Arab League level to pay tribute to high profile man of state and well-reputed Arab and international personality. He noted the shield is a recognition of the successful experience and inspirational model spearheaded by HRH the Prime Minister to achieve comprehensive development in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Bahraini ambassador said the honour coincides with the UN’s Global Human Development report for 2016 which shows a perpetual increase in the kingdom’s human development index and affirms Bahrain’s commitment to achieving 2030 sustainable development goals.
Shaikh Rashid commended cooperation between Bahrain and the Arab League to further promote pan-Arab work, lauding in this respect the role of the Arab League Secretary General in fostering relations between the Arab countries.
