Speaker of the Arab Parliament Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm al Salami will participate in the 28th Arab Summit, set for Jordan on Wednesday.
A statement by the Arab Parliament said Monday that Salami will give a speech at the summit's opening session on major challenges and dangers threatening Arab countries' national security, topped by Israel's continued occupation of Arab lands, terrorist operations that aim at destabilizing Arab states and Iran's interference in Arab countries' domestic affairs.
He will also review recommendations issued by the Arab Parliament to promote joint Arab action, the statement said.
Taking into account the current difficult conditions in the Arab world, the Arab parliament speaker will stress the importance of promoting Arab solidarity and adopting unified Arab stances towards strategic and major Arab issues, the statement added.
