South Lebanon is witnessing a state of alert amid intensive deployment of the army and the international emergency forces operating in the south (UNIFIL) after Israel cut trees along the barbed-wire fence between the Lebanese territories and the occupied Palestinian side.Fire sirens were also heard inside the Israeli settlement of Misgav Am, but the reason remained unknown, according to the National News Agency (NNA)Army units deployed at the eastern entrance of Adaisseh town. Hummer cars roamed the region.UNIFIL conducted patrols in the region to monitor the Israeli works. Moreover, Israeli military planes executed flights this morning on a low altitude over Jezzine and Iklim Al-Touffah regions, the NNA reported. This act is a clear violation of Lebanon’s sovereignty and UN Resolution 1701, adopted in 2006 and called for a full cessation of hostilities between the Israeli army and Hezbollah.
