Manama - Arab Today

Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al-Sabah, has extended congratulations to Bahraini leadership, government and people on the outstanding success of the "Arabian Gulf Security 1" exercise, hosted by the kingdom from October 27 to November 16.
The ambassador credited HM the King with the success of the exercise, the first of its kind to be held in the region, noting that the joint drill ushers in a new phase of joint GCC security cooperation and coordination.

The joint GCC drill, carried out by GCC security forces, has projected a real and honourable image of unity among GCC countries, and constitutes a pioneering step forward in the path of GCC security cooperation, he said, stressing that the exercise proves that GCC states stand together like a solid structure in the face of challenges thanks to the cohesion of their peoples.

Shaikh Azzam said that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's attendance of the final ceremony of the "Arabian Gulf Security 1" exercise and the speech he delivered had a great impact on the participants and motivated them to make sacrifices while defending the security of the region to fend off threats.
