Manama - Arab Today

Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmalik Al Shaikh praised strategic fraternal relations between both countries and growing cooperation at all levels. He described the projects implemented by the Saudi Fund for Development as a vivid proof of strong ties binding both countries.
In an interview with Bahrain News Agency (BNA), he said nine agreements will be signed by both countries on March 19 to carry out projects worth SR 1 billion ($ 533 million) in Bahrain. The projects cover various sectors like housing, roads, electricity and water as well as infrastructure. He added that a delegation from the Saudi Fund for Development, led by the fund’s Deputy President Yusef bin Ibrahim Al-Bassem, will visit Bahrain on March 18 to attend the signing of the agreements. He also underlined the role of the Gulf Development Fund in embodying cohesion between the GCC member states and joint economic cooperation.
